Winter 2007
Springwood NavyBean, named in
honor of her mother and grandmother and my father-in-law a former
Navy man, is a fun and beautiful addition to the household. With the
loss of our beloved Quarrystone Victor in September, "Cookie" as we
call her brings a much needed joie de vivre to the place. Victor was
a true terrier through and through, tough and loving in equal
measures. He has passed that spirit on down through the generations
and Cookie reminds me so much of Victor in many ways. She is a
handful, but eager to please and well worth the effort to coax
manners out of her. Cookie will make her debut in the hunt field and
show ring in 2008. Meanwhile, enjoy some snapshots of the joie that
is Cookie!

Summer 2006
Springwood Rowdie (below) is
very typical of Rebound's produce, very elegant, with great
structure, length of neck and small, flexible chest and the
bonus of a super harsh smooth coat. Rowdie is a
dream to show with his lovely, correct movement and beautiful
profile. Apparently others agree with me as he was Reserve Puppy
Champion and Puppy Champion at the two-day 2006 Duchess Country
Trial.
Although Rowdie won his classes in his first show outing, he was
Bested by his sister Roxie and was Reserve Best 4-6 Month Puppy
at the Yankee trial. Rowdie has a laid-back temperament
with a keen curiosity and big dose of joie de vivre. In the
photos above, we could not get his tail up in the extreme heat
of the day. Thanks to Michelle Ward for her patience and
photographic skills for the above shots! We braved the
heat of the day to get these shots due to the excitement of Rowdie winning Puppy Champion at the 2nd day of the Duchess
County Trial. On the 1st day, Rowdie was Reserve Puppy Champion
but it was raining and none of us were too keen to get out in
the pouring rain to get pictures! Rowdie has been neutered and
placed in a forever pet home where he is enjoying his new family
immensely. |
