Runamuk PintoBean "Star"
(Naduah Nitro x Springwood Full O'Beans)
11", Tri, Broken
Clear/Normal CERF August 2007
"Star" is a lively and amusing terrier as well as a very handy
size for working earths in the Northeast. She sports the tinest
and most-flexible chests I have ever spanned along with unusual
substance for a chest so small. Star represents all aspects of
my foundation terriers including Quarrystone Victor (North
Country Pinnocchio x Sheppard's Brook Sproket), Conquest Tussle
(Vagabond Voodoo x Conquest Trim) and Conquest Rebound (Fox Run
Rivet x Conquest Bailey). Star has an excellent temperament and
is wonderful with my young daughter. However, she has
done me the service of giving Katya a reason to always pick up
her toys!
Star can now add "mother extraordinaire" to her resume of
achievements. In August 2007, she whelped out a litter of five
by Springwood Reckless.
Out of the four girls and one boy, all were both gorgeous and
correct. I had a hard time choosing between them to pick just
one to hold onto for myself. While one female didn't have the
structure I demand for a breeding animal, the remaining four had
lovely structure and fabulous, squishy chests. Now, I know you
are probably thinking all puppies have squishy chests, just what
is this woman going on about?!? Not true! I have assessed litter
where the chests were hard already at 8 weeks. All five of
Star's pups had her wonderful chest, shallow, super squishy and
shaped to stay that way. At seven weeks, my friend Joyce Robin
came over to do temperament testing and all five were confident
and steady. However, one pup was a bit more inquisitive and
forward than the others, and you guessed it, that's the one I
kept (Cookie). Cookie and Star have
recently completed a photo shoot, and above you can see a shot
of them side by side. They are very similar in many ways, but in
Cookie one can see the beauty that Wombat brings to the table
too. I have moved Star's puppy pictures below because they are
just so cute, I couldn't bear to part with them on the page.
Enjoy!
