Springwood NavyBean aka "Cookie"
(Springwood Reckless x Runamuk PintoBean)
Tri, Rough 12"
d.o.b. August 24, 2007
Clear/Normal CERF August 2008
Although
technically and adult now, Cookie still holds onto that joie de vive
of her puppyhood. She is still a hoot, in an incredibly cute
package, but is now able to harness that energy a little better when
asked to. Whew, she is an energetic one! In very limited showing in
2008, Cookie went Reserve Puppy Bitch under Steve Wallace and
Reserve Puppy Champion under Martha Milligan. She is a great little
package with that super harsh coat, lovely movement, soft squishy
chest and a head to die for (as you can see <--). In the field,
though, is where one can really see how such a package comes in
handy. Cookie met some groundhog this summer in NY at Michelle
Ward's. She was able to get into some tight spots and had no issue
telling that hog he shouldn't be there. She sure does have a loud
voice! I am looking forward to many more eventful trips into the
field with her as she matures. I think she will be one for the long
haul - a small but gamey bitch always comes in handy!!
Cookie is as delightful a terrier as one can find. A true
individual, her sparkling personality amuses and engages. She
plays hard, is eager to please and has a nose without parallel. This
puppy could play "find it" at 6 weeks and continues the game today.
We were just playing "find it" in the snow yesterday. Speaking of
snow, that jacket she wears keeps her nice in warm in the cold New
England winter so, while it will be work for me to keep in shape
during the summer, it serves her well in rough weather. As you can
see from the photos below, she is a little fuzzy britches!
With a gorgeous headpiece reminiscent of her father,
The Wombat, and an
inquisitive nature and personality similar to her material
grandmother FullOBeans, Cookie embodies the type of terrier I try to
breed. Small, hardy, full-on-bring-it-on nature with quarry but
eager to please people. I'm looking forward to getting Cookie into
the hunt field in 2008 and, with her pedigree, I'm hoping she does
her lineage proud. Until then, I'm just going to enjoy her antics at
home every day!
